Tools & Resources: SNF RoP for CMS Rule

In conjunction with LeadingAge national and our state association partners, LeadingAge Tennessee is working with Pathway Health, a firm based in Minnesota that has done work with our members and state partners in Minnesota and Wisconsin, to help members in all states navigate the Requirements of Participation (RoP) for Phase I of the new CMS rule.

 

As they become available, policies & tools*  for the following 17 areas of the rule will be posted on this page as they are completed:

For each area, we will prepare & publish for member use:

  • A RoP Item Overview including the changes from the former rule to final rule as well as highlights for leadership awareness.
  • A Policy and Procedure Checklist indicating elements and/or language that needs to be included in the new policy.
  • A generic Sample Policy and Procedure.
  • A training template with speakers’ notes for operational implementation.

Our intention is for this to enable member organizations to implement the new rules as easily as possible.
