Asbury Place Residents Fly with HonorAir Knoxville

Three Asbury Place Maryville residents were chosen, along with 130 others, to join Flight #23 of HonorAir Knoxville.

Photos (from left to right):

Hugh Barnett (age 100) was an original member of the Manhattan Project and worked in K25 during the war and is proud of his contribution to ending WWII.

Jesse Brown was an airplane mechanic in the Air Force.

Ken Blythe, Residential Living resident, was a navigator in the Air Force.

Hundreds of folks from the community greeted the 133 men and women as they arrived back in Knoxville after a long day of touring DC. It was quite a celebration!
