Founded in November of 1989, your association has been at the forefront of promoting quality care, fostering innovation, and shaping policies to ensure the well-being of those requiring long-term care, and those providing the services and care they need. Over the past three and a half decades, this association has witnessed significant transformations in the long-term care landscape, responding to changes in demographics, healthcare technologies, regulatory frameworks and many changes from within.

LeadingAge Tennessee plays a pivotal role in advocating for and supporting the needs of long-term care providers within the full continuum of senior services in our state. Who We Are

LeadingAge Tennessee is a statewide membership organization of mission-driven providers of housing, health care and supportive services for older adults in Tennessee and the champion for advancement and innovation in aging services. Our drive is to expand the world of possibilities for aging. Our diverse membership represents the spectrum of not-for-profit and for-profit long-term support and service providers including skilled nursing and rehabilitation, assisted living and residential care, life plan communities also known as continuing care retirement communities, subsidized senior housing, hospice, adult day and other home and community based services. LeadingAge Tennessee represents and promotes the common interest of its members through leadership, advocacy, education, communication and other services in order to enhance member’s ability to serve their constituencies.
